In a way, that is a bug. A bug is something unintentional. Typos are (mostly) unintentional.

And why are people losing the habit of putting version numbers in their thread titles? Please do that!

You would not believe how many bug reports were dismissed because the reporter was using an outdated version...

It's easier to manage the bug reports and see when something was fixed.
Also, even if you don't understand the reasons for it, it's not like its taking ages to do, and its mentioned here: READ BEFORE POSTING

Really, pfft. You should make it where the user MUST update before he can play the game, regardless if its on or offline, if user does not update, then user cannot play.

Why apply a seemingly pointless restriction if it takes merely 7 or so characters to identify a version in a thread's title?

Just because the user lost his/her Internet connection doesn't mean they cannot play the game at all. That would be a pretty rough restriction.

also GJ features are version restricted
but you might notice that not every bug gets fixed every version
so it is good to know when a bug originated and the best way to see that is for the poster to include the version in the title
