For my gaming community dedicated servers costs run us over 110 a month, plus services/subscriptions for whatever else

thanks, just asking because i have a lot of linux servers out there. so if the p3d server would be running headless and natively on linux that would be great.

you need to find a server using a suddomain

example p3d.aggressivegaming.org

i found out using the RAW ip of the server will not work

Not exactly, shiju's server for example does not use that, not to mention that only applies to the server's host.

when i set mine up i used the raw ip to try to connect it wouldnt work, once i used the subdomain in the add server list it worked, just going off of that

Yea, I know, what I meant is, it doesn't matter for the client, it only matters for the host of the server. some ISP's allow it, some don't.
