How about a party system? when playing multiplayer games you can make or join a group (maximun 2 players) to battle against pokémons and/or trainers...

Maybe, but I saw games who prove parting is possible like: 4th - 6th Gen games (in Eterna Forest we parting with Cheryl) and Pokemon Cyrus Online.
