I've been trying to make my own sprite but my question is, what kind of program do you use ?
and if it's photoshop... could you explain me how you do it because my textures always look like crap when I try it... (only minecraft texturepacks work for me) and I can work with flash and stuff like that like this for example: Connor Realistic texture.png
but thats something else then/than the sprites you're making... I hope you can help me a little and thanks for reading :)

I would recommend using Paint.NET. It is a free program that has more features than the default Paint, but isn't as in-depth as Photoshop. I prefer Paint.net because it has a simple interface, and is perfect for spriting. Just my two cents, but that one is the one most people use.
Also, this thread has been inactive for well over a month. Although there are a few exceptions, this thread is closed due to the feature of uploading your skin to the website and it appears in game.

Okay thanks i'll try paint.NET but does that mean we're not able to upload a skin now ?
