Not a bug [0.42] Enemy Pokemon using Pound without actually knowing the move

I've noticed that nearly all enemy Pokemon in battles, wild or trained, commonly use the move Pound regardless of whether or not the Pokemon in question can learn it. Some of the more extreme examples include wild Abra from route 34, which should only know Teleport, and Magikarp owned by one of the fisherman on Route 32, which should only know Splash. If a Pokemon that has wrongly used Pound at some point is caught, the move is not available for use by the player.

My best guess as to what's going on is that Pound is mapped to an ID of 0, and so when the AI randomly picks a move slot to perform and rolls up one of the empty ones, it thinks Pound is there and uses it.

I find it a bit strange that this bug doesn't seem to have been reported yet, either. You'd think someone would notice something's odd if a level 5 Magikarp starts Pounding you to death :L

It is not bug. If a move has not yet been added it is set as "Pound". There is no Teleport Script yet so Pound is used.

Basically we made it so that a Pokemon can learn the proper moves but if it tries to use one we havent made yet it replaces it with pound
this applies to both you and the computer(If you tried using Teleport or Splash in battle it would end up using pound)
