As I noticed when I battle pokemons with my Gastly, when they use status ailments attack such as supersonic nothing happens, it doesn't even say if it missed or not. Another thing is when pokemons use boost attacks no message is given, so I have no idea if their def raised up or my attack is lowered.

So... is it supposed to be like this?

I had the same thing with supersonic. I just tested it and it said the attack, did the 'animations' and then nothing happened. I think this is caused by the fact that supersonic is a normal type move and thus all normal type moves are missing when attacking a ghost type?
I tested the other with Growth and it was as he said it did the increase animation but did not tell what was increased.

Well I think that status ailment attacks like supersonic will hit since it's not a melee-attack like Tackle etc.

they are supposed to, I think its a bug caused by the fact that it is normal on grass(only a guess)

The issue is that supersonic is supposed to work(though it does sleep not confusion) in the current version

Same with Pidgey and Sand-Attack (when having a Pidgey and using it on other pokemons), but I guess it isn't implemented yet?

And I also noticed that when using ghost-type attacks on normal pokemons, it says "it has no effect...", are they supposed to be immune to ghost-type attacks?

yes imunities:
normal on ghost
ghost on normal
fighting on ghost
ground on flying
electric on ground
poison on steel
psychic on dark

The problem with status ailments is that they are not fully implemented yet. So confusion won't work on Gastly because ghosts are immune to normal types. Some moves like Growth actually do work but will not say anything due to not fully implemented animations and texts with certain Pokemon.
