Duplicate Mahagony town freeze and crash

When I battle the second group of team rocket members (after meeting lance) my character remains unable to move after beating them (as shown in the picture below.) Also if I take the alternative route (left turn) and battle next proceeding group of team rocket members, the game crashes (crash report attached).
