Not a bug NOT BUG: Online: potion bug [V0.39]

well... I was battling the 1st gym leader when my chickorita had 8/29 hp left... I used a potion then it said its hp was healed by 20 (1 out of 2 bugs) But it only healed it by 1 hp point (I noticed this with other pokemon :/) (2nd bug and last) Please help!

This is actually a rather old bug that has nothing to do with the Potion. The game pre-calculates what damage your Pokémon will take (for example, you took 19 damage after using your Potion, so 20-19=1).

The potions work properly, it just shows the outcome of the round after you use the potion.
Your Pokémon has 60 HP total, 30 left.
You use a potion. It says it healed 20 HP. It shows your Pokémon has 40 HP left.
This round, after you used the potion, the opponent attacks you and hurts you by 10 HP.
30 + 20 - 10 -> 40.
It shows only the final outcome.
