Was Pokemon 3D the first Johto game for anyone here?

How did you find the first person environments to navigate? Most of us probably already know our way around the region by heart, thanks to the 2D games. I would imagine places like Ilex Forest must be a nightmare to get lost in.

ya, if i hadn't already played this gen a few times i probably would have lost my way around more easily

Pokémon 3D is my first pokemon game. Also I didn't struggle a lot with it, plus we have mini map which helps a lot.

First johto experience for me, too.
It was fairly easy to get through, only real issue was the Ice Path and farfetched the very first time.
