The Pineco i caught while playing online only Knew Tackle and the NidoranM i caught playing offline only knew Peck. I had caught another Pineco that only knew Protect but then my game crashed. Any help?

I too have the same issue my red gyarados has only leer on him. this has something to do with moveset scripts, I am sure of it.

Okay so the shiny Gyarados bug that was mentioned a while ago probably relates to this seemingly universal bug.

I just finished doing a bit of testing on this and I was able to figure something out about whats going on here. I went to 3 routes to and caught a random pokemon. First I went to route 45 since it has higher level pokemon they should not have a empty move slot. I caught a gilgar and teddiursa both of which had a full set of moves. Next, I went to route 35 since nidorans are there I assumed thats the one of the routes you encountered this bug and sure enough the drozee i caught only knew hypnosis. Finally, I tested route 37 to see if proximity had anything to do with it and I caught a stantler with a normal move set. So, based of this, I think it is a location by location bug and will require all the pokemon encounter files to be looked though to find out which ones are broken >.<

Yeah i think its a location based thing maybe around Goldenrod City and surrounding areas like Ilex Forest and Routes 34 & 35. Although the Rattata's seem to have more then one move. Nice detective skills man

So i went back to Route 37 and also caught a Stantler that only knew Leer and Astonish. I caught a HootHoot that only knew Tackle and Hypnosis Despite being lvl 18. And to finish it off i caught a lvl 15 Scyther in the bug competition that only Knows Pursuit and Falseswipe which further indicates what you said. Its location by location and particularly around Goldenrod City.

I have also encountered this issue too. However, on that same route, I found a Pineco who had all 4 of his moves listed and caught him at level 11. But I did catch a Stantler who also had only 2 moves per above on the same route. When I caught both of the male and female Nidorans, their one and only moves were different. The female only knows poison sting and the male only knows double kick when I know both should know a little more at their level caught. I have caught other pokemon in the same area and didn't have any 1 move issue. Figured I would throw this out there

Also I caught a Exeggcute who knew only one move, but he is not learning any new moves. You may want to be careful. It may not be all pokemon leveling up with move learning correctly
