I'm not sure if it's a bug, if it isn't finished or what, so I leave it here.
Elm called saying something terrible happened and that I should go back. I go to the lab and he just says "Good luck in Kanto". Is he supposed to do something else at the moment?

How far are you into the game?
You won't be able to go to Kanto until we completely finish johto.

Basically, I finished everything and I'm just completing the Pokédex, evolving/capturing/trading everythin I can. I'm at 184 pokemon obtained with Lugia and I know I still can get 5-6 pokemon with evolutions.
What I meant to ask is if there is supposed to be a special event or something.

I think elm called you to ''initiate'' the start of going from Johto to Kanto, but since that isn't implemented and won't be for a little while, you should just ignore it and continue your endeavors to catch them all.
(184 pokemon? There are people with 300 in the Pokedex. )

Heh, I stopped caring about rank and pokedex a while ago. I finished my normal team and got my fire team the easy way because I am already a gym leader.

I can trade If you want, I need to trade evolve Kadabra, Graveler and Machoke. My ID in game is Shouziroku btw. And 300, wow, that's with the special give aways. right? I think the only not directly obtainable pokemon I have from trades is my Charizard.

Sounds like a glitch to me, when elm calls to say "something terrible has happened" you should be just leaving mr.pokemons house for the first time when the rival steals starter, remember?

It's an integral part of the first area of the game, trust me I've played that part at least 40 times throughout my life, I know it by heart. I can go find pics if it is really necessary but I could pretty much quote the entire thing from memory.
