Fixed (0.38.3) NPC's Do not Fight

Well, at least we do not go into any loop errors like before. But now, we cant go into battles with NPC's. In first gym, 2 of the bird keepers just stopped me, gave me the entrance dialogue (by the way, still says default trainer message), then nothing. They do not fight with me. whenever I pass through their line of sight they stopped me, then nothing happened.

Gym leader is a different subject all together. He gave me the badge without any fight, then, after he gave me the TM game just froze. Frame rate was working but nothing worked. Just like Route 32 old men incident

Yeah, I almost posted the same thread. Same problem.
I just started this game about a week ago. First it was the infinite oak text loop preventing me from proceeding, then the infinite text loop on the trainers on route 30, now this.. but at least I guess I can proceed in the game and catch new stuff at least while I wait for a new version.

Actually, it looks like random encounters don't work for me either now. Guess I'll wait for that new patch.

Actually, it looks like random encounters don't work for me either now. Guess I'll wait for that new patch.

Edit: to fix that yourself, open the file Pokemon\Scripts\trainer\violet_gym\003.dat in notepad and edit the third line from the bottom: replace the ":" with a "."

Awesome- works like a charm. Instead of making a new topic I'll just continue here real quick.. I looked on the first few pages but didn't see this addressed in bugs:
Only other thing I've noticed is that when fighting trainers, it appears I'm stuck at "Set", whether or not I choose "Switch" under settings. Also if my pokemon faints, it forces me to use the next one in the lineup. I know it says "Battle system not final" at the bottom, so is this a known issue?

It may be related or I just don't know what I am doing but I can't get the Sudowoodo event to activate by talking to it with the squirt bottle.

We can't pass the man at the route 32. same problem like the gym leader. Looking for the same error, but I couldn't see where it located.

In version 0.38.3a after I catch Shiny (Red) Gyarados, them go to talk with Lance and after talk ends it's seems game is frozen. We can't move or use menu only ESC button works.
