erm i am not yet on goldenrod city where trading happens i believe, so would i need to be there first?
i would kinda one of both, which also leaves me to another question xD isnt 10p quite cheap for complete pokemon i was expecting like 100p normal price for this stuff, even if i have been only few days here i got 30p

You need to reach Goldenrod City before you can receive and trade other Pokémon, because that's where the Global Trading Station is.
