Duplicate 0.38.1 End of battle dialogue doesn't end

At the end of Union cave I battled a Fire Starter (or whatever their names are) and at the end of the battle the end of battle dialogue for that character kept repeating (as in, after the dialogue box closed it reopened again without letting me leave). I tried clicking away (used 'E' too), but it didn't work. I thought this bug was specific to just that npc, but when I restarted the game and tried to go through the cave again the second hiker I battled presented with the same bug as before.

Shouldn't talk to any npc, besides the NPCs that haven't caused you problems yet.

I accidentally walked in front of an NPC i missed in the sea outside whirl islands while EV training my Lugia in Sp.Def luckily i had saved before the battle
