Not confirmed [0.38.1] Youngster Joey Bug

After Joey gave me his number, some times later he called and request a rematch. But when I went to him, he said he does not have any pokemon.

Also, any of the trainers have their messages. They show "Default_Trainer_Message" or something like that.

Yeah it happens to me with Joey every time too. He calls asks for battle and says his usual lines. I didn t understand the second part of your message However here is a very useful thread about when to battle whom and some of them give nice rewards.

Most of the NPC's that I encountered have no messages. For instance, when I saw Youngster Joey first time, I did not see his name or his match starting dialogue in dialogue box. There was only "Default_Trainer_Message" or something similar written in dialogue box. I will upload the picture soon

That s strange I just talked to Joey and he said the usual " Ugh I don t have more pokemon". Did you start your new game in the current version? (0.38.1)

Yes it is the match start dialogue, When you pass it in 0.38, it show you the " Ugh I don t have more pokemon" dialogue, but before than, it is same in the picture. And it is not just joey, most of the npc's, including inside the gym have same message as well, but I cant show those because of the loop issue in Prof. Oak and other npc.

Oh i m sorry now I understand what you meant. So each time you talk to an NPC it shows you the TRAINER_DEFAULT_MESSAGE and after that the usual dialog happens. I m not an expert but I believe it is a programming mistake. Try to talk to him after 0.38.2 has been uploaded and if the problem occurs I suggest to start a new game, since you are very early in the game you won t lose much. But i m not expert better w8 for a staff member to reply

I start a new game in online mod, so I will get there and see if it is fixed or not. Not a game changer, but error is a error.

Yeah I know what you mean. Don t start the new game right now though, wait for the new update, test if it is fixed and if not then start a new game.
