Some Rookie Problems - Any Help?

Hi there, I´m new to this game and I was trying to figure it out myself but I still dont understand few things, so I would appreciate if somebody could help me, please (if its answered somewhere,I´m really sorry but couldn´t find it)

First, where can you get pokeballs? I started playing, got a starter, gone through the first Route to Cherrygrove city, but didnt receive any pokeball from anybody, can´t buy it even in the Market, so now I´m not sure if it should be that way or if I did something wrong?

Second, should I play in the Offline or Online mode? At first I couldnt register at GameJolt so I played offline, but then I managed to register and started playing online as well. In online mode are you able to see other players in 3D or how does it work? I´m kind of lost in this

Third, why in Offline mode the ground is green (grass) and in Online mode its white (covered in snow) ?

To answer all your questions, First, you can buy Pokeballs after you give Professor Elm the Egg you got from Mr. Pokemon.
Second, offline mode is just if you don't have an internet connection, plus on online mode you can use the GTS (Global Trade Station) later in the game.
Third, the normal grass and the snow are purely coincidential, the game goes off your computer clock and randomly chooses a weather condition. (With a few exceptions)

And I got one more question: @Haydos709 On the Wiki of POK 3D it´s written that you encounter your rival in Cherrygrove city, and that you have seen him stealing pokemon at Prof.Elm´s Lab., but I haven´t experienced anything like this.. so now I dont know if it was changed or is it an error in the game?

you do it on the way back to the lab so just keep playing
