Ecruteak Gym problems

Once I enter the ecruteak gym, and go to the battle floor, I spawn back at the door. I don't know if this is a bug, or something that's saying I need to do something else.

It is a puzzle, you need to find the right way to walk & if you take the wrong step, then you are teleported back at the entrance.

I have beaten the 4 people on the invisible floor, but once I got to the end, no one was there, just statues. I clicked on them, and nothing happened. What do I do? And, thanks in advance.

First you need complete main story at Burned Tower and them gym leader will come back to gym.
