I just got to the Ecruteak gym, and at the end, the leader was not there. Anyone else having this issue?

Offline, but i don't have a gamejolt account, and i really don't know if i want one honestly. but still, offline.

Oh... duh. i hate having not played HGSS or GSC in years.... it really kills the memory. lemme go there and see if i can get him.
UPDATE: He's there, but his pokemon are bugged. like, bad bugged. By bugged, i mean wayyyy overpowered. one hit from a lick killed my crocnaw with full HP.
