So since there is a bike in the internal data and we can Ride, I thought of an idea for transportation:
1. Walking, Obtained on game start, moves at present speed.
2. Running. After the police investigation with <rival> your Mom calls you over and you receive the Running Shoes.Toggleable or hold button down. Runs at present Ride speed.
3. Riding. The Zephyr Badge also allows Ride outside of battle. There will be a new building in Violet City that's identical to the current Ride shop. Ride at a speed slightly faster than running.
4. Bicycle (tier 3). The bike shop is back where it was in the old games and you obtain it the same way. Bike at a speed much faster than riding.
5. Bicycle (tier 4). Far later in the game (not sure when, but pretty far, maybe Cerulean City Bike Shop) you'll encounter another bike shop. Inside, you may trade in your current Bicycle and get an upgraded one. This one has two tiers (Like in the Sinnoh games): Tier 3 acts like the Bicycle you had before, except it now has the abilities of the Acro Bike from the Hoenn games. Tier 4 acts like the Mach Bike and is the fastest ground travel in the game. Bikes faster than tier 3.
