Everyone's thoughts on the new battle system

Thought it'd be a good idea to get the community's thoughts on the new system all in one place :)
Personally, I like the new system. It's cool, reminds me of Black & White with the moving camera, and looks awesome alongside Darkfire's music pack. I have also seen CG-looking pokemon (a bulbasaur and a slowpoke) that weren't using overworld sprites.Are the creators making custom sprites to go with the new engine?

I feel the same, except for the music pack.
I like that you cannot mistake if you press space space space space because the "mouse" is always in the center, you cannot use a move by a "hurry". I love the camera moves, the new pokemon models. The faster that are the battles now, and that you can battle even faster if you press space space space.

But i have some little suggestions, add the exp bar in the battle menu. And, in the super sexy health bar in the battles, show the HP of your pokemon, to see it easily.

The GUI is completely unfinished
atm it is purely functional and will likely be expanded upon

Ok i love the new battle system to a point, the sheer speed of it is alot better,
only problems i have with it are : -
- No choice to change pokemon when the pokemon faints (or atleast it didnt for me)
-no exp bar (told above)
-I'm sure my feraligatr got exp for fainting with poison (I.e. bugged health)

I've encountered a few bugs myself:
- pokemon being sent out to battle with 0 HP
- pokemon getting credit for all exp when you used more than one poke (eg; use pikachu & lapras, only pikachu gets exp)
- random crashing (thought it was due to moves used at first, doesn't seem to be linked to any particular one now...)
- pokemon not shown leveling up or asking for/gaining new moves (my Umbreon lvl'd from 5 to 7 with no lvl up screen/moves learnt...not sure if he learnt any moves then, but still)

These will likely all be fixed next update anyway. It's up to us if we want to play with random battle crashes or not :)
Here's hoping the move relearner gets added next update, though...

Oh yeah, saw those and forgot about them. The PP one's nice, but poison's a pain. I shiver at what Toxic would do...(incidentally, where to find Toxic TM?)

strange, it wont seem to let me, it brings me straight back to the main menu of battle screen

My "thoughts on the battle system" thread's turned into a bug report one :)
Define "through the roof". Does the model clip into the sky? I tend not to use items in battle, so wouldn't have noticed that bug.

Well from my side, the battle system is going to look "MINT" when im done with it. (not coding but graphic wise)

I'll take your word for it, everything has to start of buggy though, i can't wait to see what you manage to pull off

also you can see whats in your egg from the battle screen haha
