Not a bug no Ecruteak gym leader

So I'm online and there is no gym leader in Ecruteak and I can get through the floor maze easy. But then after I fought all the guy leading up to where the gym leader should be he is not there. I re-logged but it did not help. I passed this in my offline save and i can't remember if I have to do anything to get the gym leader there. at the time I got to the gym I only have a final fantasy sound pack on. I have turned it off thinking maybe that that was the problem. but it did not fix it.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that i am version 0.35.2. sorry I did not put it in the title.

Yes. Morty (the gym leader) should be there when you first enter Ecruteak City. Do what I said above and he'll return to his gym.

I never played G/S/C or HGSS and I didn't have issues with this... I always go through everything that is in the town before I battle the gym, which is the best tactic, really.

ya i normal do too but i was trying to finish gyms faster so i could get back to where I was on my offline save.

We really need a guy that blocks the door to the gym & tell the trainer to go to the burnt tower, just like in HGSS

Well Technically i did that but never obtained surf when i played HG/SS, so i cant really "Talk"
