This is for those people like myself who don't quite understand pokemon natures and evs. Basically a pokemon's nature increases one stat while decreasing another. Based on the pokemon's moveset or ability, you want to get a nature that benefits your fighting style. Pokemon Nature table:

Nature Increased stat Decreased stat
Hardy — —
Lonely +10% Attack -10% Defense
Brave +10% Attack -10% Speed
Adamant +10% Attack -10% Sp. Attack
Naughty +10% Attack -10% Sp. Defense
Bold +10% Defense -10% Attack
Docile — —
Relaxed +10% Defense -10% Speed
Impish +10% Defense -10% Sp. Attack
Lax +10% Defense -10% Sp. Defense
Timid +10% Speed -10% Attack
Hasty +10% Speed -10% Defense
Serious — —
Jolly +10% Speed -10% Sp. Attack
Naive +10% Speed -10% Sp. Defense
Modest +10% Sp. Attack -10% Attack
Mild +10% Sp. Attack -10% Defense
Quiet +10% Sp. Attack -10% Speed
Bashful — —
Rash +10% Sp. Attack -10% Sp. Defense
Calm +10% Sp. Defense -10% Attack
Gentle +10% Sp. Defense -10% Defense
Sassy +10% Sp Defense -10% Speed
Careful +10% Sp. Defense -10% Sp. Attack
Quirky — —
Someone else can elaborate on Ev's.

EVs are basically Bonus stats gained from defeating a certain pokemon, Magikarp=+1 speed, or so, each pokemon has a different EV, which is equivilant to thier dominant stat, like how skarmory has dominant defense, Different pokemon give different EV, thats basically the quick definition, someone can do the long one since im lazy

EVs = Effort Values
You can heave 508 EVs overall.
Each stat can only get 255 EVs.
Every 4 EVs in 1 specific stat, raises the stat by 1.
255 EVs in 1 stat raises the stat by 63 and 3 EVs left over.

You would want to have 252 EVs in the most dominant stats of the Pokemon you're training. Why 252 instead of 255? Because the last 3 of the 255 don't do anything and are pretty much wasted.
Example: Dragonite;
252 EVs in Att
252 EVs in Speed
and the last 6 in HP orsomething.
252 + 252 + 6 = 508.

Hello. :) I know exp.share's are supposed to give EV's both to the pokemon that is fighting and the pokemon holding the exp.share, but does anybody know if that feature is implemented in Pokemon 3D yet? ^^

Question about evs: what kind of evs would you recommend for a Magmortar, Kingdra and MIsdreavus?

@abovo To be fair, I can in a certain way and I am willing to do it for you if you truely want it but normally you can't.
There are Berries that reduce 10 or 100 EVs depending on how many you have but I am not sure if they are even implemented.
