Nintendo 2DS Discussion Thread

So Nintendo announced about an hour ago the newest handheld in the 3DS family: The 2DS.
What is it? It's pretty much a 3DS except it doesn't fold, and doesn't display 3D effects.
It can play 3DS/DS games however, it'll just be in 2D.

So what do you think about this new handheld? I think it'll be a great way for people to play the upcoming X and Y games without paying too much for a new handheld to play it on (2DS comes out same day as X and Y for $130.00).

It looks horrible, from what I see there, it won't be able to be fold it like the DS & 3DS, added to that, it just looks like a big chunk of metal. The question is, how big will it be?
