These would be filled by staff to begin with(with us selecting other members who we feel worthy for any open/rejected spots(devs get e4?)

after everyone has decided what they want we will open it up for more people(Gym Leaders only)
E4 spots can only be filled by staff members or people with 8 badges
If you wish to be a gym Leader one we announce what spots are filled you will need to PM a designated staff Member your application requesting specific information including the full listing of the pokemon on your team and a screen showing you have fully trained them
If accepted we should be willing to adjust your pokemon's IVs, Nature, and ability free of charge
You may battle any gym leader for any badge with any team
you may only challenge them for their spot as Gym Leader using a team of the same type as them
I think many of the main stream competitive limitations shall apply at Gym Leader Discretion
(i.e. Ubers, Sleep clause, etc)

I don't get why people should get free perf pokemons isn't the game about raising a nice team? If someone succeed to beat a gym leader with pokemons of the same type, shouldn't his pokemon be good already? I really like the system tho ^^

so lets say we challenge a gym leader and take over his/her spot, would we have to keep using the same type or are we able to change it? like say someone takes over a bug gym but wants to be a steel type can they do that?

Hey everyone,

I was talking with some people about Specific Type Teams and whether could create our own little ''league'' including Gym Leaders, Elite Four members, heck maybe an Elite 15 or something and we must not forget the champion whom stands above them all!

We wanted to create this thread to lure other Specific Type Team users so we could discuss our teams, elaborate on them and ofcourse share strategies and help each other along the way.

I will make a list that keeps track of the progress of which teams are being/going to be used, if someone else already took the type you want, fear not and simply play with the type you want.

It is for those who become Gym Leader when a spot is vacated without having to fight for it
also Gym Leaders can then easily replace Pokemon if they want something different instead of retraining a pokemon from egg
and maybe not abilities but that can be decided later
also all of those things might be available for forum P at some point

I think this would be better than having a gym for every types and still allow people to switch a gym's type.

A Gym Leader could elect to change his type as long as he fulfills any active challenges with the old team
they can also challenge another sitting gym leader to take their type if they so choose they will vacate their old seat only if they win

You need to challenge the gym leader with "the same type" to have access to the title too. So you can't be the "water badge's leader" and have a party full of grass pokemons.
