Not a bug Ride + Surf Bug?

I noticed that when you go to surf while riding a pokemon the speed from RIDE carries over into the surf. Also when I arrive back on land I'm still riding my pokemon. Is this a bug or is this intentional?

It is intentional, Darkfire has already said that it is a feature, not a bug.

Numa casa em Ecruteak, tem um velho e umas dançarinas, fale com ele, derrote todas as dançarinas e depois fale com ele de novo, ele te dará Surf...

they were talking portuguese because the new user dont speak english very well
so it was ok for them to talk portuguese
