I was talking to Mr. Pokemon sitting(standing?) on a chair, while Oak started talking to me camera turned right. So Oak was talking to me while I was watching this machine. After Oak gave me Pokedex, camera turned left on Mr. Pokemon, but he was turned back on me while talking.

You have talked to Mr. Pokemon from the side, rather then directly speaking to him when coming in, right ?

That's a bug with the script... the script doesn't check your position, it just assumes you stand in the door direction.
(Is already listed in the Bug List ...)

I've had the same thing happen to me with some trainers in the game. It occurred in every trainer battle that I had in the first gym and it has happened a few times on regular routes, though I could not tell you where exactly as of now. In the gym, I assume the reason for it happening is because I was able to quickly turn before I was spotted by the trainers.

You meant, when you're stepping in line with NPC, and you're not looking in his way, he's coming to you, but it's script so your camera is blocked on way you were looking?

When I step in an NPC's line of sight, there is a delay before they engage me. If I turn within this brief period of time, when the trainer does final decide to engage, I will face the wrong way and not see this trainer. I have also had it happen on routes when I am going back to the city I previously came from, even if I do not move before while I am in their line of sight.
