Will Mega Evolutions take over past pokemon evolving? And which others do you want to mega evolve?

personally i hope it doesnt because i would still like to see a regular dunsparce evolution line. just cause it was one of my favorite pokemon in gen 2 but it was just weak and i really hope ninjask, heracross, all the starters, and snorlax to mega evolve.

Why bother creating more powerful forms for pokemon if you only give them to pokemon that are already powerful?

apparently mega evolutions only happen inside battle and there is only a chance of the evolving. The pokemon has to hold a special item and the evolution changes their nature after which they revert back to normal after the battle. Is it really worth it? maybe in the elite 4 or pvp, don't need that to defeat an average trainer.

I for one will not be using it in PvP, the risks of the mega evolution not occuring is too great. I prefer to win using strategy & not luck.

exactly my thought, i think the majority of trainers will stick to their trusted leftovers.

I hate this idea not only cuz of the fact you pointed out but seriously? Pokemon visit the barber and then they go BAN-KAI. It looks that way to me. I noticed that the biggest change about this mega evolutions is the haircut and head shape the rest is all colour changes . Rediculous. From all things they can add in this game they made this . Why not more gyms ? Or even a different gym paths ?

Dude, this is a great addition to a new generation. And the biggest addition is not their haircut or headshape but the type change. I think it's really strange to just brush off an idea like this when you haven't even played the game yet.

well that's not really the case with mawile and absol. and I meant like will older pokemon get regular evolutions anymore or will they just mega evolve? I personally like mega evolutions just if they only keep it to like 30 pokemon at max

I personally think that Megautions (Mega Evolutions) will start off as a very rare chance of happening... once you get more badges, the chances will increase. Basically, you'll have the same odds of getting a Megalution as you will getting a Critical Capture.
