multiplayer disconnect when someone enters a battle

In multiplayer, whenever me or my freind enter a battle, the game gets disconnected. I have a very fast new computer and good internet running the server so its not a bad internet conection. We tried it with hamachi as well and it still didn't work. The first method we tried was portforwarding. Every page i looked up for the port numbers said to open six new rules, but the most rules any page showed was four, but i still opened the ports for all four numbers. So then we tried hamachi, hoping something different would happen, but the connection was still dropped. if im doing something wrong, please help.

This bug has been reported and we don't have any fixes for it either.
Nilllzz is gone for a week and thus we won't have a bug-fix update either. Multiplayer is practically useless at the moment.
