Gold/Silver Rival Mistake

Did anybody else besides me call their rival in Gold/Silver ??? because that's what they said their name was?​

I did, but you can easily change the name:
in the player.DAT file (open with notepad)
Pokemon>save>"playerName">player.DAT

locate RivalName|Silver
and change silver to what ever name you want

I did that in my first crystal game...Didn't even think it was weird at the time.

I did when I first got the game. I felt really stupid when I restarted it and found out I could have changed it to whatever I wanted.

Yeah, I did that when I first got Gold.

Nope, i always renamed rival - atm rival name is Retard.

in Gen I/II days, I always called my rival Asshat.

But to be truthful, I give them abit of an original names. Gary for Gary. I don't think I given Silver a bad name, but more original.
