I'm not certain this is a bug, but the EXP share hold item gives the pokemon holding it the same amount of exp as the pokemon that defeated the foe
eg; lvl.8 pikachu has exp share. lvl.33 larvitar beats a lvl.19 raticate and gets 295 exp, with the pikachu getting the same.

From memory, the exp.share item should give more exp to the lower lvl pokemon, no?
Something similar also happens when you swap pokemon in battle, with all pokemon that battled getting the same amount of exp.

The effect varies by generation. See: http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Experience-affecting_item

Im not really sure where the problem is, but I know for a fact that something is wrong there. The exp distribution doesn't look right.

If the Pokemon fights in the battle and has Exp share then it receives more exp. So if you want the pokemon to gain a lot of exp put it in position 1 with exp share, switch it with the stronger pokemon then after the battle it'll gain 2:1 for double participation.
