0.34 Crash - Trying to evolve Magneton

When you try to evolve your Magneton to get a Magnezone at mount Mortar, the game will crash. Apparently the method, that checks whether or not you're in the right region expects an integer or boolean type response, but when it tries to access your region data it gets a string "Mount Mortar" and doesn't know how to deal with it.
The bug is easily reproducable, if you bring a Magneton to the mountain and level it up.
I will attach two crash reports.
I hope, that you can easily eliminate the cause of this crash.

I don't know if it's related, but my game crashes surfing from cainwood to olivine when magneton levels up from lv 30 to lv 31. The generated crash report is identical to the one posted in the OP.

I think it is, a logical explanation, that the game checks your position each time Magneton gains a level. The wrong type of data returns and the game crashes.

I believe this is already fixed in the next version.

Good, I hope so. It would be pretty sad, if my Magneton could no longer level up without crashing the game. I am looking forward to the release of the fix.

Magneton evolves into magnezone at lvl 30 which causes the crashes. There's no way of stopping it, too. :/

There's a fix for it, it will not evolve but atleast you can lvl your Magneton.

Place this in your Pokémon/Content/Pokémon/Data folder.
Replace the old 82.dat (Which is Magneton) with this one and it should be fixed.

So, you are actually deleting the last line, that means t will not evolve ever....
Is it the only solution !!

BTW, why can't I evolve a magnemite by a thunder stone ??

It's a temp fix so you can simply level your magneton. When the next update comes out, in which this bug will be fixed, you will simply download the latest version and it'll get patched.

Some Pokémon are not affected by the powers of the stone.
