Fire Stone - Schoolkid Alan @ route 36, call on Wednesday afternoon
Thunderstone - Lass Dana @ route 38, call on Thursday night
Leaf Stone - Picnicker Gina @ route 34, call on Sunday afternoon
Water Stone - Fisherman Chris @ route 42, call on Sunday afternoon
* bonus: Juggler Irwin @ route 35 (seasonal variation)
You need to get their phone numbers by talking to them after winning a battle against them first. Then call the during their time slots and they'll give you stones.

The day of the week in-game should match your computers date and clock settings. You can always use your pokegear to check the weekday and season though.

Sure.
You get the pokegear from your mom in Newbark town, so just talk to her and you get it.
You can use it to see the rank list of other players, along with your own rank. You can also call and be called by other trainers that you've battled. To get their phone numbers, you need to talk to them after you've defeated them.
You can also see your friend list. I think that's it so far.

Actually I am in Ecruteak city, and I have defeated the Kimono girls and recieved the HM03.
After that I went to the burned tower, where i met another rival !
I defeated her and fell into a pit !
Inside the pit I, somehow all of my pokemon came to a condition where they cant battle.
I was transported to the nearest pokemon center.
I came again inside that tower, but I cant find the rival...
Even I cant go back in the pit !!!
The Gym leader must be still inside. I cant fight Morty, nor the 3 legendary pokemons !!
I hope U can help to get out of this situation......

Hmm, that must be a bug of some sort. If you go down the ladder to the basement of the burnt tower, are the legendary pokemon still down there?
