When you pick your starter Pokemon in fullscreen mode, when it asks "Rename x" it doesn't give you the "rename" and "cancel" options. Or at least it does with Cyndaquil. But when F11 is pressed and you exit fullscreen mode, the options appear. This a bug or just me?
