heres some of the way I play, basically my goal is to not miss a thing at a fast kinda past. obviously going after every item and talking to every person a map offers would take a bit longer then, going threw the map with the story only.
I seem to have 5 favs at the moment(I do breed my females so hmu)
charizard, heracross, houndour(egg), dratini and feraligator
my six, I like to keep a mule for hm's incase im hunting for items, someone that's usually handy with common hm's.
I bye pokeballs only and they never fail me(but im always broke)
If I hit a good patch of grass were I can farm xp for a pokemon that has super effective moves ill stay there until the xp im receiving is little to none... until next time
