As far as i know, you can't trade with an offline account. The trade system uses your gamejolt iD to exchange pokemon. you will have to create an online game to trade. I hope you didnt get to far into the game, i didnt realize this till i had already reached the sixth gym lol on your games start menu there is a lightning bolt icon on the lower right corner, click it then choose to create an account (unless you already have a game jolt ID) once its created you will have to sign in and start a new game under the "play online" option.

I can set up trades poliwhirl >> poliwhirl slowpoke >> slowpoke, you set up trades for , machoke, graveler, seadra and kadabra, for caterpie, weedle, rattata and oddish
