Leafeon is good, but Grass types in general aren't that great.
Fire-types aren't THAT good either.... Plus, a Dragonite with Extremespeed will make your Arcanine's useless. Ofcourse, it has fire moves but most of the ''good'' fire moves are special attacks.

Dark are mkay... not much in gen 2.
Psychic are great or even a ghost like Gengar.

Leafeon is pretty good, I personally just don't know how to make Leafeon useful. Not sure if it's a physical attacker or a special. And I don't know what moves it can learn either.
Venusaur is pretty good though.
