There's like a 1/6000 chance of finding a shiny. Good luck, hehehehehe.

yes i know but its actually 1/8192 xp however if you chain them you will reduce it by a lot it only took me a lil over an hour to get this hoothoot xp on platnium i tend to go shiny catch crazy i already have like 60 xp

I have no clue, really.
But what is this ''chaining'' you are talking about?

well you know how at night in the park all there is are hoothoots? for example you want a shiny zubat when you encounter one you would kill it then you start seacrhing for another zubat at least four spaces away from the last one. you would do that over and over till you get a shiny. its a lot easier this way but in this game its harder to do and in platnium i usually use the pokeradar. thats why it took me barely over an hour to get a shiny hoothoot.

So, find Pokémon > defeat it > 4 spaces away > find another > defeat again > repeat > shiny

yes but if you encounter a different shiny pokemon it will break the chain and you will have to start over again. it can be really fusterating and im not sure how easy or hard it is in this game but i can see exactly.

A different Pokémon or just a different SHINY Pokémon?

The water on Slowpoke well would do for that.

But looking at all the shiny Pokémon, there barely are any really cool ones.

yha ik xc i kinda like the shiny teddiursa for some reason xp its just all green my fav color xp hmm right after i evolve my aipom ima go for the shiny slowpoke my aipom is at level 30 xp for chaining it drops to 100/2000 which is tons better xp

i was on a chain of 74 then the laptop decided to pull the -pokemon 3d has stopped working- window on me so i had to close it down so i did all that for nothing -__-
