Just a note to add - Will this be changed in the future? or is it not possible, doesn't seem right to just be able to make whatever pokemon you feel like, sorta loses the idea behind the game to me.. I could just make a level 100 Mewtwo right now and destroy everything right?
giant companies throw vast amounts of money fighting cheating so i will never promise to prevent it, but we have a bunch of ideas to deter it and check against it in multiplayer. for now the game's really unfinished so go hog wild, while it works.

But why would you do that?

You can cheat like that in almost any game these days but (some) people choose not to do that and if people want to abuse it then ok, fine for them.
hard to ban someone from a game like this but if we find out about hax we'll try and break it

This is mainly what I was suggesting at, I mean multiplayer wouldn't too much fun if you could just make the worlds best team of ubers really. :/

imo that could be really fun if both people agree to it, but yeah people playing normally or who actually level pokemon might be annoyed with that.

i had an idea of letting players challenge their freinds to games of Pokemon Stadium on the wii in their room where they can battle with rental pokemon so there's less reason to just cheat em up and its a quick way to show new people what the game can be like if they play it.

It is likely not implemented into the game yet(nor is Arceus)
if you create Arceus and all that you can reference the move and until the move get's implemented it will be tackle

Aw man I wish I could have started with Bulbasaur :(
dude just cheat one up, its a beta and there's no anti cheat or multiplayer and nothing past the 1st gym. once you've played that normally there's nothing stopping you from cheating in pokemon, you should be able to use all gen 1 and 2 pokemon, but there may be some bugs with the ones that haven't been tested (the ones outside of areas we are working on)

to grant yourself pokemon open party.dat and box.dat in your save folder, each line in there is a pokemon with their current stats, evs, moves and so on. you have to copy another pokemon and change some of the values to suit what you want. you can have 6 pokemon in party.dat, box.dat is for bills pc, you probably want to just add things into the box and get them out in the game than put them in your party.

also it should be possible to add pokemon that can look like whatever you want as long as the sprite is no bigger than 128x128 ;) the system for pokemon species is now data driven

oh and if you actually mod the game files and not just your save i'd back up the game to somewhere else and edit that copy. if you're editing saves its wise to back your save up from before you messed with it. just copy the folder somewhere
is there any way to change the moves on the pokemon? if so what is the codes for them?
