Not a bug [0.32.1] 16 hours of night time?

I've gone through as many topics about the night/day cycle as I can and it seems like everyone is able to enjoy their 16 hours of daylight time (and 6 of night). But in my game, its completely backwards. I've changed my computer clock to see when each time of day happens, and it's happening as such:

9 - 11 (2 hours) = Morning
11 - 3 (4 hours) = Day
3 - 5 (2 hours) = Evening
5 - 9 (16 hours!) = Night

I downloaded this game just a couple days ago, meaning I've had no previous versions. Also, my game is unmodified. Any suggestions would be very helpful. In case it helps, I'm in the EST time zone. Thanks!

It might be seasons at work?
It is winter season atm so maybe longer nights?
I don't remember for sure

The season DID recently change. I believe 2 days ago...? I was only playing for a day and then it changed, so I wasn't really acquainted with the day/night system yet.

I suppose I can see the realism in having the seasons affect the amount of daytime.

My brother and I have been having the same problem and it started for us yesturday which is a couple days after the season changed so I don't think thats it.

The same thing has happened to me, it's almost always nighttime. x)
But it's not winter in my game at the moment, it looks like it's either spring or summer, as the grass is a soft green colour (with no content pack on).

This is intended.
In winter the days are (for me) very short and in summer much longer.

The seasons are changing every week.

Can you post a screenshot real quick?

And you are sure the time on your computer is correct?
Can you tell me the day of week of yours?
