I don't think it's cheating simply because it's like trading and in the normal games we would be able to catch/get one anyways and this is just the alternative way of getting it in this game.

Yeah, but that's just me. I'm the guy who's all like I want to do as much as I can myself without help if you know what I mean. I don't consider it cheating, heck if other people do it, fine by me! Just my own do it yourself stuff I feel more like I've earned it. Heck, I even feel bad about trading for pokemon even though it's necessary!
Well, you actually do ''earn'' it. You have to go catch a certain Pokémon, train it to a certain level and be the fastest to trade it on the GTS. You work and receive a prize. That is, IF you are on time.
