Firstly, " there a movie on tv, 4 boys are walking down the railroad tracks" this is basically the set up of the movie stand by me, 4 friends walking on the rail road tracks.
This boggled me when i first saw it years ago, but then i eventually googled it and there we go, maybe adding this to the TV's or something else like an Easter egg, just for the fun of it.
Secondly, running shoes and bikes, and phones to rematch people, most likely suggested and gonna be added already.
Thirdly, I loved in Pokemon R/B and G/S how you got rivaled up against a stronger type, but i also loved in Pokemon Y how you got to get all starter Pokemon, the ability to catch ALL Pokemon would be epic, in 1 game. And its been suggested kinda, but maybe with the ability to choose from the 6 starters, the Rival will choose randomly the stronger type.. For example, i choose Cyndaquil, the Rival now has a 50% chance to choose Squirtle or Totodile.
Maybe the ability to choose Rivals skin?

Also (suggestions are fun)
i find ember is very slow, and a clock would be good like in G/S
Hidden items, like lumps in the ground.
Able to visually see the pokemons pokeballs on the healing machine in poke' centers

i was thinking about the last one and you'd need to elevate the healing machine a bit, make it slope maybe, like the gen 5 pokemon centers

except it probably wouldnt even need to look different to the old machine, just have it kinda up against the wall on a counter behind the nurse

i dont know if i like visual cues for hidden items but its food for thought

AFAIK we're porting gold/silver and maybe doing more regions later so it isnt likely we'd let people have all the starters and stuff like that, but we're going to be working on mod support along the way so more and more of these big ideas people come up with can just be mods.
