False swipe

Its normal that Farfetch'd faints pokemons with false swipe?
i was going to route 46 and with this move catch all pokemons in this route but he faints everyone =(

the move doesn't have its effect yet
alot of the moves are like that
Hyper Beam doesn't recharge
bullet seed doesn't hit multiple times
etc
it will happen eventually
