Talking to the guy will simply cause my game to crash.

Oh and if you accidentally exited the game immediately after sudowoodo dies (i.e. before the exp bar growth), you won't be able to get rock smash at all from the guy. In fact the 2 npc near sudowoodo won't even acknowledge that it is already gone.
