Edit: He won't scram all Pokémon into one competition and thus we'll be getting multiple competitions today.
Probably every 8 hours a competition or something. (Which means we'll be getting 2 Pokémon in some of the competitions since he will be catching up for the days he lost and that's like 6.)

Congrats. I was rather closely behind you. Had mine at 21 right about when you won. Could have used my rare candy stock to win probably, but if I did that, I wouldn't have the option to do it for future contests.

Rare candy, eh.
I feel like that is boring and really takes away those last minute moments. :/

They really do take some of the fun out of it. Hopefully the pick-up ability isn't true to original when implemented, otherwise I see most future competitions lasting couple minutes, tops.

Just have darkfire ban it or something later on. If darky givith, I'm sure darky can taketh away if somebody who used em wins in the future. I'm not saying he will, just throwing it out there

The only way to stop rare candy abuse is to make it so if a rare candy is used on a pokemon, the pokemon is marked forever.

Also, anyone who uses rare candies are scrubs because rare candies dont give you EVs.

I personally use rare candies
why:
because they dont effect your overall ev gain
you can still get the full amount of evs even if you did all your leveling via rare candies
just stick the pokemon in the box and pull it back out and voila evs applied(note dont try this on pokemon 3d atm I am not sure if it will work)
Rare candies are one of the best things ever
especially in gen 5 when your pokemon nolonger get auto 100'ed when playing online
1) catch/hatch pokemon
2) ev train pokemon(if you do it right you dont need more than 20-30 battles(or even less))
3) level any way possible(rare candies included)
4) win

I don't mind rare candies either. The only question is if the pick-up pokemon power gives them out like... candy?

Because my pokemon Ruby experience usually ended with me having a hundred or so rare candies/proteins/nuggets/pp ups all from Zigzagoons I caught in the beginning of the game. A party of 5 pokemon with pick-up can do you wonders. You could do the same with Tediursa. Of course, the pokemon power pick-up has changed over the years to finally not hand out rare candies from level 2 pokemon with pick-up. You have to raise the pokemon to level 21 and up if you want rare candies from them. Level 41 if you want the best chance for them.
