My sprites keep vanishing and re-appearing. Basically as your walking around in 3rd person mode, Your character sprite keeps flickering if you walk through grass and flowers. If you stand still in the grass, your sprite/pokemon sprites vanishes completely.

I'd show some screenshots but for some reason the sprites are on the screenshots.

Also, Not related to the vanishing but, when you go up in trainer ranks and you unlock a new trainer, is it supposed to change your sprite or are we supposed to all be bug catchers?

I'll confirm both

is the vanishing due to the texture for the grass and flowers or is it something game-related? because i'd like to fix it in my texture pack as well

It has to do with the way in how the sprites are rendered on screen by the game.

This is not something u can fix in your texture pack, Nilllzz would have to look into it although am not sure how easy this would be to fix.

This "bug" was reported sometime in the earlier versions as well but hasn't been addressed as of yet.

thanks for the info. i remember there was a post a while ago about how the pokeball when thrown towards an onix it showed the box around the pokeball, i believe the problem there and now are the same, so however it was fixed maybe will fix this

All have to do with the same kind of issue

However after playing the game (havent played it since 0.26) it seems it has gotten to the point of it completely disappearing where as in the older versions the sprite merely flickers when it moves behind so possibly different issue going on here.

could we do something where when a player is in a grass block, the texture changes to a different image like so

if there is a way to make it so that at least the head isnt covered by the new image it could work

So atm for the player sprite it is set to be unseen at certain points of contact with other wallbills
so it just goes invisible
the NPC sprites don't have this so they are fighting with the other wallbills to decide which one shows through

Alright so tell me, i know that the box is based on the texture that is being called or what not. Because I can see the outline of the box as I enter a grass tile. Is there anyway to change the height of this invisible box? For example. The problem with the pokeball is that there's a small box around it. But at least it only encompasses the ball is a small square.

However the box around the grass and flowers are much more taller than the actual texture themselves. Is there anyway to make the game call a smaller box height for grass and flowers?

each square on the overworld is always 32x32(or whatever the texture packs have set it as)
the wall bill itself is that size
at that point it has very little to do with the actual texture(i think?)this is wall bill physics and will probably be fixed at some point in the future
