Even though it sounds kinda stupid but the file you changed is the file that is causing the bug.
I just went to Route 29 and the battle map works fine. Try to report bugs only with vanilla games, please, else I am kinda wasting my time searching for bugs where there aren't any ;)

uhh I haven't done anything to my files (thou I have Silver's Soul) and I have this problem too after the update not that I know if the same problem occurred before it as I didn't really play it much and not in that route to really know

Hmmmm, since I don't remember with which files I've been messing with, I'll be making a back up of my saves and delete everything and then re-download it. ^^

Deleted old save. Cried. Signed into Gamejolt. Started new game. Got a Female Cyndaquil right off the bat. Cried tears of joy. Finish talking to Elm- Crash. Cut to an hour later and I finally get another Female Cyndaquil. Crashes again. Nope. Nopenopenope.

I just defeated the elder from Sprout tower. No crashes. Only a texture bug which I brought upon me myself.
