I can't connect to the GTS

Ok. Two quick questions:
1. Is your gamejolt "token" your gamejolt account password?
2. If it is your password, then why does it say that it cant connect to the account?

Yes, the Token is the password for your Gamejolt. (The password for the Gamejolt in-game.)
Are you sure you are logged in? Either got to the menu screen and press the little lightning on the bottom left corner or go in-game, to the GTS hub and ''talk'' to the box next to the Computer.

I just went to the menu and i put my username and password on the lightning icon. But it says "Cannot connect to account!"

Did you use any capitlized letters/all lowercase? These are also important.
Go to Gamejolt, log in there (With your normal pass.), on the top of your screen you see: Show Token. Press that, type in your token with all the numbers,letter and capitlized letters.
