Thanks for clarifying that, now quick question. If you hatch an egg from a shiny Gyrados, does a shiny Magikarp come out?

The Red Gyarados is just like any other Shiny and the chances of the offspring being a shiny aswell is just as slim. ^^ Unless there's some weird.... specialty to him.

I've got a Totodile Lvl. 17 and a Pidgey Lvl. 17, anything I should pick up along the way?

Hmmm, a Geodude or Phanpy is a good counter for Whitney. It'll make things really easy.
I also suggest getting a Growlithe or Ghastly for the second Gym.
Fire is good against bugs and they can barely hit Ghastly. xD

Hmmm, a Geodude or Phanpy is a good counter for Whitney. It'll make things really easy.
I also suggest getting a Growlithe or Ghastly for the second Gym.
Fire is good against bugs and they can barely hit Ghastly. xD

Good point, but my Pidgey does know flying moves. I think I'll just use him for it, so I can turn him into a Pidgeotto, and move on with my life.
