My quilava 2 shot it with flame wheel
I had issues with clair b/c she completely resists fire
but I was level 67 by the time I reached lance so I had little trouble there(almost lost though )

It evolved into typhlosion within like 2 battles so it was way overleveled
I was only using Quilava......I have finished up to Blaine and It already is almost level 80

Hahahaha, I feel sorry for you and your problems with Whitney. It took me like 3 tries I think. Onix was useful to tank some of the damage while getting some HP back on my main Pokémon.
Since then I've been doing some extra lvling after finshing gyms. I am up to date with the updates and my Poémon are currently:
Ferilgatr: 45
Ampharos: 44
Gengar: 41
Dragonair: 40
Alakazam: 40
Weak Growlithe: 31

yeah i like to do that as well
i do it with at least 1 pokemon from each type
so ill eventually have all round knowledge on super and not very effective moves

well i got ton of pokemon to use against it and yes heracross is a fighting type, the only fighting type in game so far i believe
