We can't catch it yet. But I think there is someone who has a Snorlax. Maybe even able to breed it. I doubt it, though.

Darkfire, can't you change the maps to make certain pokemon spawn in them? even ones that haven't been implemented?

with a spawn hack, the pokemon would still be legit with game generated stats. so except for the spawning, everything else would be legit

Guess so. It's hard to keep track of things, I guess.
Anyways, Slavi only cares about getting the Pokedex credit. He has seen 137+ Pokémon orso he said.

The thing is, it's very easy to generate hacked Pokemon with completely legit stats. For example, I could just create a few impossible to get Pokemon and make it claim that they were from a daily giveaway. Stats are easy to calculate and even if done incorrectly, they get recalculated correctly when they evolve. Of course, someone could always do a poor job at giving it reasonable IVs, EVs and ability, trainer, pokeball etc. For example, I have a Mew I got from the GTS that I use as an HM slave and the person who made it gave it IVs of 50 each.

You can in the sense that you could always ask the person if they still have it. I meant that I could easily make those Pokemon again. You are right that I can't just go make a Mewtwo or something and claim it's from the daily giveaway, so there certainly is a limit. With that said, OP might want to contact one of the two people who won a Snorlax and see if they can breed one for him.

you're forgetting that the game creates codes for acquired pokemon, and if the pokemon doesn't have it. it gets deleted

I've had NO issues with editing my Pokémon, generating Pokémon, etc. I used the trick to test out the Eeveelutions, unfortunately, they didn't work. :/ (The eeveelutions, that is. The trick works like a charm.)

Look, I don't want to put the trick out there and make it so that other people can abuse it. It's for that reason that I say ''Trick''. But, even Darkfire and Prince Vade know about this trick and it's actually not hard to do at all. The lock on the game is there but it's easily avoidable.
